Sounds Active Essential Sound Engineering runs on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X based computers.  It is has not been qualified for use on either Windows or Mac OS versions since 2018, and is now officially discontinued.

Windows

Note: Sounds Active Essential Sound Engineering uses QuickTime video software components.  QuickTime for Windows is no longer supported by Apple and its installation may not be allowed on your computer.

Note: Sounds Active Essential Sound Engineering is not compatible with Mac OS from 10.15 (Catalina) onwards.

Additional Equipment

We recommend the use of a decent set of stereo headphones to experience Sounds Active ESE audio properly.

For classroom teaching, demonstrations or lectures, Sounds Active ESE can be teamed with external amplified loudspeakers, such as studio monitors.  Care should be taken if using a classroom’s built-in PA system, as these loudspeakers usually do not have adequate frequency response (particularly for bass frequencies) and they may not be optimally positioned for stereo.
